This incredible Vietnam cycling tour takes you from the coastal beauty of Nha Trang to the imperial charm of Hue, covering stunning beaches, historic landmarks, and breathtaking mountain passes along the way.
The adventure begins with a bike fitting and welcome dinner in Nha Trang before setting off along the central coastline. You’ll ride past Cham towers, shrimp farms, and traditional fishing villages, stopping in Phu Yen and Quy Nhon. A visit to the historic My Lai site adds a powerful cultural element before reaching the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An for a well-deserved rest day.

I chose to book with Mr Biker Saigon as they offered a tour more suited to me and my husband, a tour that simply delivered a cycling experience without the visits to local businesses or gift shops. It was perfect! From the outset communication with the company was first class. On the lead up to the tour I received a really detailed email with what to wear/bring for the homestay/and tour info. It was my birthday and the company went over and above to help and treat me! Our guides arrived promptly gor day 1 and picked us up from our hotel. One drove the support vehicle each day and the other cycled the route with us. They were both excellent! The bikes themselves were fabulous. Very nice and because Mr Biker Saigon had requested our height beforehand, the frames fitted us perfectly. Everything was truly top notch and professional. My husband and I are fairly fit and active and we cycled 50km on day 1. The route was predominantly flat and fairly scenic. Lunch was gorgeous and we had plenty of water stops with fresh fruit and cake! We finished day 1 at around 3pm with a private boat ride to the homestay. We stayed in Ben Tre in the most lovely place! It honestly was more than I imagined. I was invited to help cook with the ladies who own it which was so nice…..it was like an added cooking class! The meal was delicious and everyone so friendly. I even received a birthday cake and gift! It was a very special memory. The room at the homestay was very comfortable with a good bed, AC and a powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious. Day 2 was another 50km and was a very pretty route. Again, we had plenty of water stops and the day ended at a fabulous seafood restaurant right on the water. This trip was a highlight of our holiday in Vietnam. Mr Biker Saigon are a fabulous company and I highly recommend booking with them. You will be in safe hands. The team were really friendly and incredibly well organised, which made the whole trip feel relaxed and well looked after from start to finish. The riding took us through beautiful, scenic landscapes in the hills west and south‑west of Hanoi – a stunning part of the country to see by bike. The itinerary was a 4‑day, 5‑night trip, with around 3.5 days of riding. On the full days we rode about 55 km, although the distances were sensibly shortened due to the heat and humidity during our week. The support was excellent, especially for our family group. The accommodating team were great with our younger riders, happily helping them up the longer climbs and keeping spirits high. There were plenty of snacks along the way, amazing food, and great accommodation throughout the trip (with pools). A special mention must go to the best ice‑cold, refreshing lime juice we’ve ever had – absolute heaven during the hot ride! The duration was perfect for us. We’re regular riders, but usually on flatter and cooler terrain back home, and this felt challenging (mainly due to the heat). For more casual riders, maybe an e-bike is a good option to deal with the climbs. Start your adventure with a short morning flight from Saigon to the sunny coastal city of Nha Trang. Upon arrival, we’ll hop on the bikes and begin a scenic 30 km ride through the peaceful countryside of Cam Ranh. Pedal past mango orchards, quiet villages, and open fields as you get a first taste of the landscapes and rhythms that await you on the rest of the journey. This relaxed ride serves as a warm-up and introduction to the cycling experience ahead. By afternoon, you’ll be free to unwind, visit the Po Nagar Cham Towers, built in AD 781—one of Vietnam’s oldest historical sites, or simply relax on Nha Trang’s golden beach.

In the morning, we’ll transfer approximately 80 minutes to the Hon Gom Peninsula. From there, you’ll begin cycling along the peninsula, passing shrimp farms and the largest rice paddies in central Vietnam, en route to Phu Yen.

After breakfast, we will set out from the hotel to start the day’s 65 km cycling journey along the coast to Quy Nhon, the capital city of the province. Throughout the day, you will see the province’s main economic activity: fishing. You’ll even get a chance to see the iconic basket-shaped fishing boats as you enter Quy Nhon, where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, a van will transfer you outside of the city to avoid the busy traffic. Day 5 will be a 80km ride offering a view of coastlines as well as the local countryside. You will be able to observe the local shrimp and salt farms and meet friendly farmers along the way. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will take a scenic drive (transfer) to your hotel in Quang Ngai.

The morning’s first stop will be My Lai, the historical site where one of the most shocking episodes of the Vietnam War took place.
After My Lai, you will cycle along quiet village roads past rice paddies and small unspoilt fishing villages filled with colorful boats. After lunch, you will transfer to the village of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and inarguably one of the most beautiful small towns in Vietnam. In addition to its unique atmosphere and distinctive buildings, today Hoi An is famous for its colorful lanterns illuminating the Old Town at night. The evening will be yours to start to explore this amazing town.

A rest day allows you to relax and see more of Hoi An at your own pace – enjoy the history, explore the local markets, or simply take it easy on the beach. Do not hesitate to ask your guide for recommendations for things to do, and places to eat.

Day 7 will be the most challenging, but also the most rewarding, day of the entire trip.
The day will start with a short van transfer out of the town before a ride along the coast to Da Nang. From Danang, we will begin the climb to the renowned Hai Van Pass. The road climbs gradually up to 480 meters with many switchbacks and offers stunning views of the countryside overlooking the East Sea. The view from atop Hai Van pass is often said to be one of the most beautiful vistas in Vietnam.
This tough climb is followed by a long smooth descent to your reward: lunch. In the afternoon we will continue to ride seashore for another 44 km before getting to Hue, the old capital of the Nguyen Dynasty

You will learn about Hue’s history while cycling around its not to be missed sites:
To start your day, you will enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Perfume River to visit the seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda, the most important religious building in Vietnam and the symbol of the Hue. We then start to ride from the pagoda through the greenest city in Vietnam upstream the Perfume River to the Mausoleum of Emperor Gia Long, the first Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty.
After the visit, we will ride another 3 kms to a hidden farm where you can enjoy an authentic farm to table lunch as well as their organic workshop.
We will transfer you back to your hotel in town for your leisure time to discover more about this lovely city.
