EXCELLENT Based on 255 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor Ricky GVerified Mr Biker Saigon absolutely nail e-bike tours of Ha Giang. Unbelievable scenery, diverse accommodation, coordinated and professional crew with total support. Unbelievable passion and commitment from staff which promoted great harmony amongst the tour party. The enthusiasm and energy was contagious.Posted on Tripadvisor PamVerified Interesting, Informative and Diverse E-bike tour We have just completed an Ebike tour from Siagon to Hue with Mr Biker Saigon. It was faultless, the daily rides were very interesting and diverse. The accommodation was excellent and the towns we stayed in had something different to offer each night. Our tour guides An & Gin, together with the mechanic and drivers were amazing, we wanted for nothing and they were so obliging. We felt like we were one big family! At the end of each day, the crew had a cold beer or coconut waiting for us when we arrived in. We have done several other bikes in Vietnam, and we rate this as our best.Posted on Tripadvisor BartonWilliamsVerified Ha Giang Loop Excellence! Words do not express the grandness of this tour! Not only does Mr. Biker Saigon provide amazing equipment, guidance and cultural education, they tailor the ride with just the right amount of effort, humour and local knowledge.Posted on Tripadvisor Russell HVerified Magical ride in the Highlands of Vietnam E-bike cycling Northern Vietnam to and from Hanoi Our guide was An Nguyen. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and committed. Both the accommodation and food were excellent. We received local and cultural information every day with examples and experiences. It was fascinating to learn about Vietnam’s northernmost point and deepest gorge in Southeast Asia. The interaction between different ethnic groups and guides was very professional and we were able to communicate with the local people even with the different ethnic cultures. All the equipment was great and the organisation, guide/medical staff was superb. The value for money was exceptional and supporting local businesses like home stays happened a lot and was important. The thoughtful itinerary was well-chosen, featuring a mix of transport and riding on back roads and tracks away from main roads. This resulted in maximum exposure to small villages. As a result, we avoided motorcycles groups and this made our trip truly unique. Aspira Cruises for our trip to Ha Long Bay was first-class. The ship was clean and the staff was great. Overall this trip is best for experienced riders with good fitness. I would highly recommend so that others can enjoy.Posted on Tripadvisor Sonia JVerified Wonderful experience from start to finish! I chose to book with Mr Biker Saigon as they offered a tour more suited to me and my husband, a tour that simply delivered a cycling experience without the visits to local businesses or gift shops. It was perfect! From the outset communication with the company was first class. On the lead up to the tour I received a really detailed email with what to wear/bring for the homestay/and tour info. It was my birthday and the company went over and above to help and treat me! Our guides arrived promptly gor day 1 and picked us up from our hotel. One drove the support vehicle each day and the other cycled the route with us. They were both excellent! The bikes themselves were fabulous. Very nice and because Mr Biker Saigon had requested our height beforehand, the frames fitted us perfectly. Everything was truly top notch and professional. My husband and I are fairly fit and active and we cycled 50km on day 1. The route was predominantly flat and fairly scenic. Lunch was gorgeous and we had plenty of water stops with fresh fruit and cake! We finished day 1 at around 3pm with a private boat ride to the homestay. We stayed in Ben Tre in the most lovely place! It honestly was more than I imagined. I was invited to help cook with the ladies who own it which was so nice…..it was like an added cooking class! The meal was delicious and everyone so friendly. I even received a birthday cake and gift! It was a very special memory. The room at the homestay was very comfortable with a good bed, AC and a powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious. Day 2 was another 50km and was a very pretty route. Again, we had plenty of water stops and the day ended at a fabulous seafood restaurant right on the water. This trip was a highlight of our holiday in Vietnam. Mr Biker Saigon are a fabulous company and I highly recommend booking with them. You will be in safe hands. Their bikes and support vehicles are top quality and you even get some free gifts - bag/water bottle/tshirt. We did the compact Mekong tour and I saw varied scenery, caught local ferries with the bicycles which was fun and stopped whenever we liked to chat to locals or take photos. We had a great time!! Thankyou Mr Biker Saigon. Thankyou to Ken and Din for looking after us so well.Posted on Tripadvisor robynh255Verified Unforgettable cycling and food tour Saigon to Hue with Mr Biker Mr Biker and our crew of An, Hau and Vu provided us an unforgettable Vietnam experience from the cycling, scenery, accommodation, guiding and food to the exceptional fun and laughs along the way. We got to see the real Vietnam cycling through city laneways, country roads, rice paddy fields, over mountain passes and along coastal routes all supported by exceptional guides and crew. Our tour was like a cycling and food tour rolled into one… every day was different scenery and new and amazing foods to try with excellent local knowledge. We will be back and highly recommend this tour to others. Thank youPosted on Tripadvisor Tim GVerified Northern Vietnam Cycling: Mai Chau To Pu Luong - Family Trip We had a fantastic experience on this guided cycling tour and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The team were really friendly and incredibly well organised, which made the whole trip feel relaxed and well looked after from start to finish. The riding took us through beautiful, scenic landscapes in the hills west and south‑west of Hanoi – a stunning part of the country to see by bike. The itinerary was a 4‑day, 5‑night trip, with around 3.5 days of riding. On the full days we rode about 55 km, although the distances were sensibly shortened due to the heat and humidity during our week. The support was excellent, especially for our family group. The accommodating team were great with our younger riders, happily helping them up the longer climbs and keeping spirits high. There were plenty of snacks along the way, amazing food, and great accommodation throughout the trip (with pools). A special mention must go to the best ice‑cold, refreshing lime juice we’ve ever had – absolute heaven during the hot ride! The duration was perfect for us. We’re regular riders, but usually on flatter and cooler terrain back home, and this felt challenging (mainly due to the heat). For more casual riders, maybe an e-bike is a good option to deal with the climbs. A brilliant balance of cycling, scenery, culture, and comfort – we’d do it again in a heartbeat.Posted on Tripadvisor Noeline BVerified Fabulous way to explore the sights, scenery, culture and people of the Mekong Delta supported by a great tour guide team Mekong Delta Bike ExperiencePosted on Tripadvisor GlennVerified Fabulous Mekong Cycling Experience Wonderful guide Thuan took us through rice fields, coconut farms, back roads and paths criss-crossing scenic country side on excellent Giant e-bikes. Highly recommend!Posted on Tripadvisor Fiona RVerified Mekong Delta cycling Fantastic experience. Our guide, Thuan, and driver were fabulous. The e-bikes were great excellent quality. Would never have found the paths, turns, ferry crossings on our own. Thuan gave us insight into how Vietnamese grow and harvest many crops. The scenery-coconut trees, rice fields, pagodas, markets and meeting (and waving) to locals was fabulous. Our driver was there with water, fruit and snacks along our routes. Itinerary
Cycling distance: 52 km
Elevation gain: ~700 m
Meals provided: not included
Accommodation: Mrs. Chung Homestay, Mai Chau
Transfer: ~120 minutes from Hanoi to ride start (morning)
Note: beware that hot weather and hilly terrains in summer months (April to September) make this day challenging.
After an early morning departure (no later than 7 a.m recommended) from Hanoi, a short transfer brings you into Hoa Binh Province, well clear of busy city traffic.
The ride begins on quiet rural roads, immediately offering a sense of adventure without feeling remote. Gentle climbs lead into the Ba Khan area, where limestone mountains rise above cultivated valleys and small villages. The terrain is varied but manageable, with steady ascents balanced by smooth descents and well-maintained backroads.
As the route approaches Mai Chau, the landscape opens into a broad valley surrounded by dramatic karst peaks and rice fields. The final stretch rolls easily into the heart of the valley, where traditional stilt houses and friendly local life create a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll spend the night at Mrs. Chung Homestay, a comfortable base to relax and ease into the rhythm of cycling through Vietnam’s northwest highlands.
Cycling distance: 61 km (optional shorter route: ~45 km)
Elevation gain: ~1,200 m
Meals provided: Breakfast
Accommodation: Pu Luong Natura Bungalows
Note: long climb in rural areas, make sure to bring enough water and snack. Foggy conditions during winter months (Nov-Mar)
After breakfast in Mai Chau, you begin riding directly from your accommodation, following pre-loaded GPS tracks through the surrounding countryside. Leaving the valley floor, the route gradually climbs away from Mai Chau, transitioning from open farmland into quieter hill roads and village tracks.
Today’s ride is more adventurous, with longer climbs and deeper immersion into rural northern Vietnam, yet it remains safe and accessible. The roads are lightly trafficked, and villages appear regularly along the route, offering a reassuring sense of connection despite the increasingly wild scenery. You’ll pass terraced rice fields, forested slopes, and small ethnic minority settlements as the terrain rises toward Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
As you approach Pu Luong, the landscape becomes lusher and more dramatic, with cool forest air and wide views across layered valleys. A final descent leads you to Pu Luong Natura Bungalows, a comfortable eco-lodge tucked into the hills—an ideal place to rest after a rewarding day of self-guided mountain cycling.
Cycling distance: 75 km
Elevation gain: ~750 m
Elevation loss: ~1,055 m
Meals provided: Breakfast
Accommodation: Thach Lam Retreat
Note: best accommodation in the area. Staff barely speaks english yet friendly and hospitable.
Leaving Pu Luong, the road drops quickly out of the reserve, setting the tone for a fast and satisfying day on the bike. The opening kilometers are dominated by a long descent through forested hills, where smooth pavement and gentle curves encourage an easy, flowing pace.
As the elevation tapers off, the route settles into rolling terrain, threading through river valleys and quiet agricultural areas. Small villages and local traffic appear regularly, giving the ride a grounded, lived-in feel rather than a sense of isolation. Short rises break up the momentum, but overall the profile favors steady progress rather than sustained climbing.
The final stretch follows lowland roads toward Thach Thanh, with open landscapes and wider valleys replacing the steep mountain scenery of earlier days. Thach Lam Retreat sits in a calm rural setting, offering a comfortable and well-earned stop after a day defined by speed, rhythm, and changing terrain.
Cycling distance: 47 km
Elevation gain: ~365 m
Meals provided: Breakfast
Accommodation: Guesthouse inside Cuc Phuong National Park
Note: follow the map through the park entrance to arrive at accommodation
The ride out of Thach Quang begins on quiet rural roads, easing into the day with mostly flat terrain and a relaxed early pace. The route passes through small farming communities and open countryside, where the landscape feels settled and distinctly lowland compared to previous days.
Midway through the ride, the profile starts to change as the road gradually rises toward Cuc Phuong National Park. The climb is steady rather than demanding, with the surroundings shifting from agricultural land to dense forest. Traffic thins noticeably as you approach the park boundary, and the air becomes cooler under the canopy.
The final kilometers wind inside the national park on smooth, shaded roads, surrounded by limestone hills and primary rainforest. Riding here feels calm and contained, with long stretches of uninterrupted forest. The day ends at a simple guesthouse within Cuc Phuong, placing you deep inside Vietnam’s oldest national park for the night.
Cycling distance: 42 km
Elevation gain: ~330 m
Meals provided: Breakfast
Accommodation: Ninh Binh Hidden Charm Hotel
The day begins with a gentle exit from Cuc Phuong National Park, following shaded roads that gradually descend out of the forest. Early riding is calm and uninterrupted, with long stretches beneath dense tree cover before the landscape slowly opens.
Beyond the park boundary, the terrain becomes flatter and more open as the route moves into Ninh Binh Province. The ride weaves through quiet villages, rice paddies, and narrow countryside lanes, with limestone karsts starting to rise abruptly from the fields. Elevation changes are minor, making this a smooth and efficient ride that allows time to take in the surroundings.
The final kilometers lead into the heart of Ninh Binh’s rural lowlands, where dramatic rock formations, waterways, and farmland converge. You finish the day at Ninh Binh Hidden Charm Hotel, well positioned to explore the region’s iconic karst landscape and river scenery off the bike.
Cycling distance: No cycling
Meals provided: Breakfast
Transfer: ~1.5 hours by van to Hanoi
Accommodation: Not included
In the morning you are free to enjoy Ninh Binh at your own pace. A boat trip through Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is highly recommended, offering a final look at the region’s limestone karsts, river valleys, and cave systems from the water. The ride passes quietly through narrow waterways and low caves, framed by steep rock formations and dense greenery.
After checking out, a private van collects you for the transfer back to Hanoi. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours, marking the end of the cycling route and the conclusion of the trip.
