TRAVEL ALERT: New Entry Requirement for Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Heads up if you’re flying into Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN)!
As of April 15, 2026, the Vietnamese government has introduced a mandatory pre-arrival registration to help speed up the immigration process. To avoid long queues and get to your hotel faster, please follow these steps:
- Who needs to do this? All foreign passport holders and overseas Vietnamese traveling on a visa. (Doesn’t apply if you’re just transiting or using a VN passport).
- Official Link: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/
- Timeline: Complete this online at least 24 hours before you land.
- Pro Tip: Have a clear photo of your Passport and your E-visa details ready on your phone to upload directly to the form.

How it works:
- Fill out your details at the link above.
- You’ll receive a QR Code upon completion—save a screenshot of this!
- Present this QR code to the Immigration Officer when you arrive in Saigon.
⚠️ Note: Skipping this step might lead to significant delays at the border, so we highly recommend doing it before you head to the airport.
We can’t wait to see you in Saigon! Safe travels! ✈️🍜☕
