Meals Provided: Welcome dinner
Accommodation: Le Jardin Hotel Haute Couture
Website: https://lejardinhotels.com/hanoi-haute-couture/
After you arrive at the hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, you’ll be treated to a bike fitting where expert mechanics will make sure your mountain bike (or e-MTB) is perfectly suited to your preferences and body dimensions.
After all riders have arrived and received a fitting, we’ll kick off the tour with a welcome dinner of traditional Northern Vietnamese cuisine. The dinner will be a good chance for you to get to know both your fellow cyclists and the members of the Mr Biker Saigon team.
Cycling Distance: 22km
Elevation Gain: 800m
Meals Provided: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Accommodation: Hill Home Hoang Su Phi or similar
7:30 AM – Hotel pickup for a 5-hour van transfer heading north toward Viet Quang town.
This long drive gives you plenty of time to take in the changing landscape – or catch up on some sleep. Along the way, we’ll stop for a local-style breakfast.
After the transfer, enjoy a strong Vietnamese coffee while changing into your cycling gear. Then get ready for an unforgettable journey.
The first 15 km will be a gentle warm-up with rolling hills. We’ll stop for lunch at a small local restaurant run by a young ethnic couple. This will be your first real taste of rural Vietnamese cuisine, so don’t be shy to try something new!
After lunch, the Ha Giang Gauntlet truly begins. The final 7 km is a challenging climb up to Hoang Su Phi Hill Home, surrounded by breathtaking scenery – so keep your eyes (and camera) wide open.
Dinner and overnight at a local homestay in Hoang Su Phi.
Cycling Distance: 60km
Elevation Gain: 1500m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Four Points Ha Giang by Sheraton
We’ll set off from the mountain city of Hoang Su Phi bright and early to head towards the outskirts of Ha Giang. The ride is 8km long, but you’ll descend 400m of off road dirt paths that actually lead through hillside villages. Watching the beautiful terraced mountainsides that follow the contours of the landscape is one of this adventure’s scenic highlights.
Near Ha Giang, we’ll explore the diverse cultural heritage of the 15 different ethnic tribes in the area You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the rich history and heritage of the tribes from the locals themselves.
Next, we’ll cycle up the steep final stretch to enjoy the view of Ha Giang city, a challenging but rewarding experience, before overnighting at a boutique hotel in Ha Giang. Treat yourself with some luxury.
Cycling Distance: 60km
Elevation Gain: 1500m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Phuong Dong Hotel
You’ll wake to a 25 km bus transfer along the paved road through local terraced rice paddies. The morning scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, but the road is flat and relatively straight, and that kind of casual cycling is reserved for our not-so-super-advanced tours!
At the end of the bus ride, you’ll hop on your bike and cycle through Vietnam’s limestone mountain range, taking in the views of the incredible geological formations and the misty rice terraces in the area as you pump up steep climbs and fly down hills at high speeds. Emerging from the mountain range, the terrain will even out a bit as you pass through minority villages and mountain communities while immersing yourself in the local culture and interacting with the friendly people of the area.
The mountain road pass “Heaven’s Gate 1” will be a highlight of the day, with the famous vista of the Tam Son valley and the Twin Hills offering one of the most spectacular sites in Vietnam. The mix of challenging up and down terrain and relatively flat sections will test your cycling skills, but the scenic views and friendly encounters with local hill tribes will make it all worth it.
Finally, you’ll descend into Yen Minh while observing the traditional homes of the local communities and taking in the picturesque surroundings before an overnight at a homestay in this sleepy northern town.
Cycling Distance: 60km
Elevation Gain: 1700m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Dong Van Eco Stone House or similar
In the morning, we’ll take a leisurely ride several kms to visit the nearby hill tribe market. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and get a glimpse of the vibrant lifestyle characteristic of the heavily Chinese-influenced far North of Vietnam. You may even come across some Northern Vietnamese antiquities to pick up as souvenirs!
Next, we’ll cycle up the “Way of Happiness Road” while viewing Dong Van’s Karst Plateau, truly one of the most beautiful natural landmarks in the world (take a look at the photos if you don’t believe us). At the road’s summit, riders will visit the Hmong King Palace (Vuong Chi Sinh Palace) and Lung Cu Flag Pole Tower.
Finally, we’ll cycle 15 km to Dong Van ancient town and check into a hotel there before enjoying some self-guided exploration of one of Vietnam’s most historically rich hidden gems.
Cycling Distance: 30km
Elevation Gain: 700m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Auberge de Meo Vac
We’ll set off from Dong Van through Sky Walk, a road that is cyclist-friendly but has been known to get so misty that you might feel like you’re walking on clouds, hence the name. The ride will also take you alongside the magnificent Ma Phi Leng Pass.
After the sky walk, riders will fly down a steep downhill stretch to the Nho Que River and embark on the Nho Que River cruise. The 700-meter-deep canyon walls are sure to take your breath away.
After disembarking, we’ll board a waiting support van in Nho Que and backtrack to the colorful village of Meo Vac, where we will stay overnight.
Cycling Distance: 54km
Elevation Gain: 800m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Chien’s Lodge or similar
In the morning, we’ll set off on a ride from Meo Vac to the majestic Mau Due – Lung Ho summit, which will offer one of the most panoramic views in Vietnam. The ride is one of the most strenuous legs of this adventure, so be sure to stay hydrated. Reaching the summit is no easy task even for expert cyclists, but you’ll be rewarded at the top of the mountain with a hearty picnic lunch.
The descent down the mountain is one of the highest-velocity segments of any Mr Biker tour, and it ends with a plunge into the tranquil riverside village of Du Gia. Overnight at a comfortable riverview hotel in town.
Cycling Distance: 38 km
Elevation Gain: 800m
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch , dinner
Start the day with a visit to the local market in Du Gia, where you can mingle with colorfully-clothed
members of the different hill tribes and admire their traditional crafts.
From Du Gia, we’ll embark on one of the most ruggedly picturesque legs of this adventure: cycling uphill 5 km through remote mountainous areas surrounded by beautiful cliffs, caves, and other natural wonders. It’s the intense climax of the Ha Giang Gauntlet.
After the 5 km climb, we’ll begin a descent that lasts 20 km. It will be a glorious opportunity to rest your cycling muscles, which will probably be pretty spent by this point. You’ll then finish the cycling portion of the tour with 10 km of flat riding to the town of Ha Giang, where you’ll share a lunch. You’ll say goodbye to your fellow riders and your trusty bike unless you plan to extend your stay in Ha Giang.
Finally, transfer back to Hanoi and arrive there at 10:00 pm. We’ll grab a local dinner enroute.

Casey S2025-09-02Verified Must do cycling trips! Ive been riding with Mr Biker for years. I think I've done every ride. What started as a thing to do on weekends when I moved to Saigon became a genuine hobby cum passion.Mr Biker is for cyclists. They run outstanding tours, but every one is tweaked for the needs of the cyclists on the day. Everything from super challenging mountain climbs in Ha Giang, to long distance international tours, to day trips around Saigon are possible.I love cycling, but Im not super fast or super skilled. Ive been on rides where Ive been the most experienced and rides where I've been at the back of the pack. It never matters - the team at Mr Biker make sure you have an incredible time and cater to your needs and strengths. The staff at Mr Biker are an absolute strength of this company. They're passionate about cycling and about their job - its like riding with a tight knit group of friends in the best way. Whether youre a hobby cyclist or a serious lycra aficionado - a Mr Biker tour is a must do in Vietnam.(They also do all kinds of bike hire and their bikes are awesome!) leesorob2025-08-31Verified Best team to go bike riding in Vietnam. MRBiker! This is my 6th outing with this Team. We went riding to Ke Ga, a beach 120km east of Saigon. First experience with a Gravel Bike. And although rented, it was brand new!!It was intense but extremely rewarding upon arrival. We rode through woods, gravel, mud rice paddies, past by green hills and rivers and ponds. And finally the sea!!As usual brilliantly organizad considering we were more than 20 riders of different levels of fitness, but in gral all fit!“ Great dinner” and accommodation was good, very warm people, as is the tradition of Vietnamese folk. After it was over and comig back, gain I got the feeling … “when is the next one??”.Luckily next one is just a week away!!!😄 Jean-Jacques M2025-08-31Verified Kê Gà ride It was one of my numerous bike rides with Mr Biker. KIRSTY P2025-08-26Verified HCM City to Hoi An - just for fun! Fantastic 10 days with Tron and An and Mr Biker Saigon on our journey from HCM City to Hoi An. Everything top class - food, hotels, variety of locations, history, service, quality of the e bikes and our two guides did everything they could to give us a memorable biking holiday. Whilst the biking wasn’t hard, we all learnt to deal with the heat and having the rest day in the middle was perfect! Thanks Mr Biker, Tron, An and your support crew for a fabulous adventure Jet094859679822025-08-21Verified 3 epic days biking the Mekong Our 3 day bike ride through the Mekong was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. The scenery, was stunning, it was such an authentic, beautiful way of seeing the area. Thuan and our driver looked after us incredibly. We opted for a private tour so we didn't see another tourist for 3 days. The accommodation, the food, the care was faultless and personal. The bikes were brand new and well looked after. We would recommend it highly to anyone. We can't wait to do another trip with them. Thank you Thuan! Wander6268362025-08-06Verified Excellent cycling trip We had such an amazing day cycling through the stunning Mekong Delta with our super helpful & insightful guide Minh. I’d highly recommend Mr Bike Marjie D2025-07-25Verified Amazing Cycling in Vietnam I joined *Mr. Biker Saigon* on a gravel bike cycling from Saigon to Hoi An; I highly recommend this trip & Mr. Biker Saigon if you like speedy road/gravel riding, great food, are adventurous, and are curious about Vietnam. Mr. Biker Saigon is a local (Vietnamese company) that is connected to the community and attuned to international tourists’ needs.I’m an experienced group (road bike) rider who went with 3 friends who also ride a ton; my less cycling-obsessed friends were happy to join on e-mtb’s. We rode over 300 miles (including 10-15k ft of climbing and an insanely beautiful 18 miles, 5000 ft descent from Da Lat to Nha Trang). It was completely supported - we had a few very fast road riders guiding us, support vehicles, and stayed at hotels along the way. Throughout the trip, the guides introduced us to local food, community, and culture; we wove through rice paddies, coffee, tea, and banana farms, encountered weddings, local crafts like grass mat weaving and fishing net repair, shrimp farms, and breath-taking views of the coastline. Our guide Trong, shared his own stories about growing up in Vietnam, answered our questions, and introduced us to so much of Vietnam; time with him was a wonderful gift. And he’s a super strong rider! We road gravel bikes to have access to the smaller roads and villages in Vietnam (and gravel tires have the appropriate tire width for that terrain). The traffic laws and customs are different from US, but our guide did a good job helping us adjust to the differences, choosing safe roads, and guiding us. Because there are so many motor-bike and bicycle riders in Vietnam than in the US, I felt like drivers were *more* aware of us, and I felt very safe riding there. If you are considering a trip to Vietnam cycling, I encourage you to reach out to Mr. Biker Saigon; they were super accommodating, and can just the best guides and people I’ve been around. Also, we had so much excellent coffee together! Hanne B2025-07-20Verified 5 day biking tour through the mekong delta My son and I took a five-day trip through the Mekong Delta on e-bikes. The bikes were excellent and reliable, with zero issues. All the homestay accommodations were amazing, featuring good food, clean rooms, and great hospitality. The GPS for the route was easy to use and provided clear instructions. Even in cases where the route didn’t exist, finding our own way with the app wasn’t difficult. Mr. Biker offered punctual and helpful assistance regarding the bike, pick-up, drop-off, and overall communication before and throughout the trip. I would recommend the tour to anyone, 10/10! Emily T2025-07-11Verified Safe and fun adventure for families Going in this bike tour was a highlight of our summer. We are a family of three: myself, my husband, and our almost 7 year old son. I wasn’t sure if he would be able to complete a long bike trip, but I really wanted to try. Mr. Biker Saigon worked with us to curate a bespoke trip based our needs and our child’s age. We rode for 2 days and ended with a relaxing morning seeing the floating markets in Can Tho. Our guide, Thuan, was wonderfully helpful, conversational, kind, and professional. He made an extra effort to support our son when things got challenging on the tour. He was a great guide and definitely made the experience meaningful for us. Some of the features of the trip that I appreciated: the clean, super luxe fan we were carted around in, the wonderful roadside food and coffee we had, the beautiful flower-lined waterfront paths we traveled, seeing almost no other cyclists the entire time. It was a true peek into Vietnamese villages that would be near-impossible to find on one’s own. Thrilled with the experience. Highly recommend. Phong Nha Heritage Trekkings2025-06-22Verified Unforgettable cycling Adventure in the Jungles A great experience when cycling in the jungles, the team of Mr Biker was so passionate and professional. 35 km in the jungle on Trek E bike was just amazing. The team support was more than my expextation.Load more
